Meet the team behind Crossroads Cycling.
David Carleton
Owner
After retiring from law enforcement, David trained explosive detection dogs before a random duathlon flyer pulled him into cycling — and eventually into opening his own shop. His approach is simple: match every rider’s passion, whether they’re buying their first bike or their fifth.
Angela Carleton
Co-Owner
Angela plans major hospital events and helps run the Winston-Salem Cycling Classic, coordinating housing for international riders. A former crit racer (comeback pending), she loves helping new female cyclists find the right ride and confidence to match.
Matt Winnicki
Sales
After a 24-year law enforcement career and decade running his own business, Matt found cycling through his son’s racing journey. These days, he’s either riding, kayaking with his wife Tena, or in the garage building something (or fixing yours).
Joey Tobin Jr.
Mechanic and bike builder
At 15, Joey is a North Carolina native and first-year student at Salem Christian School after being homeschooled. He’s usually playing guitar, riding or repairing bikes, helping customers, or hanging out with friends and his poodle Cotton, who occasionally doubles as his co-worker.
Millie
Shop Dog
Millie’s a regular at the shop, often stationed by the front door “encouraging” people to come inside. If she’s missing, she’s likely at the groomer recovering from her latest dirt-digging adventure.
Abby
Shop Dog
Abby greets customers at the Clemmons shop and takes her role very seriously. Off the clock, she’s busy chasing balls, monitoring squirrels, and napping with Matt and Tena.
